Rachael leigh cook Not Another Teen Movie

Spoof movies instantly get a bad rap. The Wayans brothers kicked off the craze somewhat respectably with 'Scary Movie' back in 2000, but ever since, this type of film has been synonymous with critical panning. Even the 'Scary Movie' franchise plummeted from the first to second film. 'Scary Movie' nearly attained a fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, but the second film came in with just a 14 percent. 'Date Movie,' 'Epic Movie,' 'Meet the Spartans,''Disaster Movie,' and 'Vampires Suck' all failed to crack even a 10 percent rating on the Tomatometer.

We're basically getting spoof after spoof with little to no concern for quality. Joel Gallen's 'Not Another Teen Movie' targets exactly what the title implies -- teen movies. Chris Evans stars as Jake Wyler, this film's version of 'She's All That' leading man Zack Siler (Freddie Prinze Jr.). And, of course, Jake needs a Laney Boggs (Rachael Leigh Cook), who here is played by Chyler Leigh and renamed Janey Briggs (natch). The new jerk of a best friend, Dean Sampson (Paul Walker), is nowEric Christian Olsen, as Austin, and Zack's ex-girlfriend, Taylor Vaughan (Jodi Lyn O'Keefe), is now named Priscilla (Jaime Pressly).

There's a slew of secondary characters that join the fun and help pull some additional teen-centric films into the mix.
