Do you keep in mind what you were doing in Grade 8? Fourteen-year-old Robert Nay from Spanish Fork, Utah, has developed and coded what's currently the amount one free app within the U.S. iOS App Store. Released on December twenty nine, 2010, and downloaded over a pair of million times, Bubble Ball could be a physics puzzle game involving a bubble, a goal, and items that you simply place so as to induce the bubble to the goal. straightforward enough, right?
The developer was interviewed on Good Morning America, where he said that the impetus for designing an iPhone game came from his friends. “(They) suggested I try making an iPhone app and I thought, ‘Why not? That’d be pretty cool.’” Robert headed to his local library and did some research, and using Corona SDK from Ansca Mobile, programmed the game. His mom, Kari, helped design some of the levels and helped with submitting it to the App Store, but Robert did all the coding.
Robert remained coy when asked what his next game would be, saying only: “It’s secret for now.” Spoken like a true entrepreneur.
Bubble Ball is available for free on the iTunes App Store and Android Marketplace.
