She might appear as if she stepped off the quilt of Maxim, however comedian Iliza Shlesinger's waspish tongue cuts through BS sort of a sushi chef. Onstage, she's a prickly, exasperated presence, calling out members of each sexes on their numerous self-delusions and misguided assumptions.

The first feminine to win "Last Comic Standing" on NBC, Shlesinger was born in Dallas and attended Emerson, a performing arts school in Boston where she sharpened her improv chops with Pittsburgh comedian Bill Crawford.

She returns to the Pittsburgh Improv at the Waterfront in Homestead for a series of shows this weekend. Performance times are 8 p.m. Thursday; 8 and 10 p.m. Friday; 7 and 9 p.m. Saturday and 7 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $15-$17.
